Kerry Carty Photography bio picture

Welcome!

After spending over 15 years in the Advertising and Marketing industry, I decided to make a change. Although I'm not a huge fan of change, spending more time with my two kids and on my life-long interest of photography could no longer wait.

My photo sessions are relaxed and fun. And I take an editorial/photo journalistic approach to my photography. A few examples of my work can be found on my blog and website.

Be sure to let me know what you think, or just drop me a note at kcartyphotography@gmail.com.  If you're interested in scheduling a photo session let me know!

Thanks for visiting,

Kerry

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Had a great time at the zoo with Ariya (who just turned two), little sister Adeline, their grandma visiting from Missouri and mom. We lucked out with the weather, and saw quite a few animals basking in the sun. Linda, hope the rest of you trip was a great one and I’m sure the pony...

Seriously.

Look at them. What beautiful girls. I met Sophie last year, and this year got to meet her sister, Lucy. Almost a year old, Lucy already looks up to her big sister, and is thoroughly entertained by her.  It was a great visit and I look forward to watching these girls grow. Share on Facebook

2+2=4.

Just a year ago, Ryan and Kenji were the only grandkids in the family. But one year later two more grandkids have been added to the mix. Meet Cash (Kenji’s little brother) and Emma. Are their grandparents excited? Of course. There is so much positive energy, fun and laughter in the house, it’s hard to...

Nima & Kiran.

It was a clear but cold day when I met little Nima and Kiran. These two brothers were dressed to impress, and did a stellar job during their photo session. Their grandma joined us for a few pictures, and I’m glad she did. I love photographing grandparents with their grandchildren. Gotta have them. Beautiful family,...

Happy together.

At five months, Colton & Julia are doing just great. They’re always aware of one another and unlike most siblings, they don’t seem to be bothered when one is tugging, grabbing or rolling on or over the other. I guess that’s why twins are often so close with one another. Infants are a lot of...

What are ya looking at?

Now at the ripe age of 6 months, Gilbert is beginning to wonder why everyone always looks at him. Why they’re in his personal space, making funny faces and noises. Odd noises. Well Gilbert, you better get used to it. Your in the 100th percentile in the “cute” category. Share on Facebook

Meet the Magnificent Macallan.

Lots of smiles, love and laughs (oh, and barks from their two dogs) were had at little six month-old Macallan’s house. She even showed me her new move that she recently picked up. It looked much like she was shaking her head no…but only with a smile! I’m sure she’s working on her next move:...

He can now add “Big Brother” to his resume.

Playing soccer and his with his trucks, reading books, and now a big brother? Devan is a busy little boy. How does he do it? Luckily for him his uncle comes to visit and play, and he has loving parents that make sure his “workload” is manageable. And from the looks of it, Dhara is...

All smiles.

Maya is such an expressive little baby, which made my job way too easy. I really enjoy watching new parents like Jeremy and Sheryl. This little family of three just seemed to click. Share on Facebook

Tiny Thomas.

Before we left on our trip to London, an old friend of mine happened to be in town from an area just outside of London. It was her three month-old son Thomas’ first trip to Seattle to visit his grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousin. He had lots of people to see and I feel fortunate...

Quinn and Kaiya.

With a 9-month old daughter, you’d think Curt and Amy have their hands full. Quinn is such a great, easy-going baby. The type of baby that just takes a quick little nap when she’s tired, and wakes up happy. Imagine that. But imagine also having a Great Dane. Yes that’s a dog, not a horse.  Quinn’s...

Olivia.

It’s always so great to be with families that truly enjoy every minute they have together. And luckily for me, this was the case hanging out with Olivia and her parents. Share on Facebook

Letter of the month, “G”.

G is for Gilbert. Just a few short months ago I photographed his parents as they anxiously awaited their big day. And on May 9th, Gilbert decided that would make a great birth date. Surrounded by lots of love and a closet full of sporty shoes and superhero tees, Gilbert has already won the “2011...

Meet Ragen (& Pretzel).

It’s always so great to watch families grow. The first time I photographed Ragen’s family, they were anxiously waiting for her arrival. And just two months later, I was fortunate enough to meet the one and only, Ragen.  She was so easy going and great, her rabbit Pretzel couldn’t resist getting into the picture with her....
