This has to be one of my favorite events of the year. Before the Picnic & Barrel Auction begins, Seattle Children’s holds their annual Purchase a Miracle Campaign meeting. Great grocery and drug stores across Washington state participate in this campaign to help raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for uncompensated care at the hospital...

I recently had the opportunity to photograph St. Jude’s inaugural Seattle Shower of Stars Dinner and Gala. It was a great night which raised more than $52,000 to support the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. With its second year behind them, Swim Across America – Seattle turned out to be a huge success once again. 180 swimmers participated in one of three events – 2-mile, 1/2 mile and 50 yard “Kids Splash” swim raising over $175,000.
