Kerry Carty Photography bio picture

Welcome!

After spending over 15 years in the Advertising and Marketing industry, I decided to make a change. Although I'm not a huge fan of change, spending more time with my two kids and on my life-long interest of photography could no longer wait.

My photo sessions are relaxed and fun. And I take an editorial/photo journalistic approach to my photography. A few examples of my work can be found on my blog and website.

Be sure to let me know what you think, or just drop me a note at kcartyphotography@gmail.com.  If you're interested in scheduling a photo session let me know!

Thanks for visiting,

Kerry

What are ya looking at?

Now at the ripe age of 6 months, Gilbert is beginning to wonder why everyone always looks at him. Why they’re in his personal space, making funny faces and noises. Odd noises. Well Gilbert, you better get used to it. Your in the 100th percentile in the “cute” category. Share on Facebook

Adelaide & Abigail.

These two made me feel even more out of style. Need I say more? Share on Facebook

The Magnificent Mayfields.

Thoughtful? Check. Welcoming? Check. Polite? Check. Great neighbors? Check. Good friends? Check. Don’t be jealous, but we probably have two of the most caring and considerate kids on the block (and no, I’m not talking about my kids). Meet Caden and Mackenzie. Our kids are lucky to have such great role models, just down the...

Feetastic.

When I think of the Feetastic Fees, giggling comes to mind. Yep. Giggling. I also think of them as “good, solid people.” I sound old when I say that, but it’s true (the good, solid comment…not the old part). I also love the fact that Clara and Miles wanted to wear their outfits from a...

Max & Lily.

A great Fall morning was spent with Max, Lily and their family. Max lead the charge and had lots of fun exploring. While his grandma kept busy popping out from behind trees, keeping the kids entertained and in fine form during their session. What teamwork! Share on Facebook

A little rain won’t hurt us.

Laina and her younger sister Marisa were troopers as they marched through the wet trails. But they didn’t seem to mind one bit. And Laina apparently prepared for our session by showing us a few of her own poses. They were great. Here are a few shots from our day – including mom and dad,...

Trains, planes and a wagon.

One year can make a big difference. Kids change so much. With Thomas & Pete they’re growing like weeds – they’ll soon be eye-level with me. And since pictures from this session won’t be a surprise Holiday gift for their dad this year, he (along with their grandma) were able to join in the fun....

Back by popular demand.

Here they are, one year later. I am convinced that I’m going to have to start bringing a ladder around with me. These kids, especially Grace and Gabby are growing like weeds (or I am shrinking). I was entertained by the Kirby family. Not in the “entertained” kind of way, but I really did have...

The Aoyama Brothers.

Don’t let those cute faces fool you. They have moves! Very quick ones, I must admit. Jens did his best to keep up and act just like his big brother Davin. They are quite the duo, wouldn’t you say? Share on Facebook

He’s here!

At just five days old, Tate was wide awake and ready for his photo session. I am still amazed at how active newborns can be. And as we discovered during our session, Tate’s digestive system was in full gear. No problems there! Keller and Hadley looked they had been training to be the “older” siblings...

The many faces of the Brewers.

Can’t help but smile, can you. Are they funny, or what? As you can see, there were lots of laughs during our session. And like last year, Matthew and Anna brought their cousin Hayley along – and she somehow managed to keep up with them. Never a dull moment with those Brewers! Share on Facebook

The Whelan sisters.

Almost a year old now, Ragen is doing her best to keep up with her older sisters. Or maybe it’s the other way around. Either way, they are all on the move. Now that I’ve photographed their family a few times, I appreciate the fact that they essentially set me loose in their house. Our...

Meet the Magnificent Macallan.

Lots of smiles, love and laughs (oh, and barks from their two dogs) were had at little six month-old Macallan’s house. She even showed me her new move that she recently picked up. It looked much like she was shaking her head no…but only with a smile! I’m sure she’s working on her next move:...

Soon to be big sis.

So much can change in one year. Last year, Sabine waddled around in her tights and dress during our shoot. Flash forward 12 months and Sabine is now a pro at walking, loves her books and is chatting up a storm. And if that’s not enough, she is going to be a big sister very...

Maya & Eli

With their little stuffed friends in tow, Maya and Eli were a lot of fun to follow and chase around. Although it was a chilly day, they were great sports. They’re two happy little kids that made my “job” a breeze. Share on Facebook
