Kerry Carty Photography bio picture

Welcome!

After spending over 15 years in the Advertising and Marketing industry, I decided to make a change. Although I'm not a huge fan of change, spending more time with my two kids and on my life-long interest of photography could no longer wait.

My photo sessions are relaxed and fun. And I take an editorial/photo journalistic approach to my photography. A few examples of my work can be found on my blog and website.

Be sure to let me know what you think, or just drop me a note at kcartyphotography@gmail.com.  If you're interested in scheduling a photo session let me know!

Thanks for visiting,

Kerry

Fean Fun.

So much to say, so little room… In early December, we were lucky enough to have our old neighbors Jon and Robyn back in town for a visit.  Not only are they great friends, but these two really do complement each other well. It’s quite amazing. My kids love them and that’s a good thing,...

The Fab Five.

I had a great Fall outing with the Cousins Family. It’s always fun to meet new families – especially a family with three little boys.  Full of adventure and smiles, they led me on a beautiful journey through the Sculpture Park. A great day was had by all! Share on Facebook

The Fee Family.

Grandpa Fee was in town, so we all headed out during Seattle’s first snow of the year. Like any celebrity, he waited in his warm van until his call time.  A great character, he had an easy time making us all laugh. Share on Facebook

I love skinny jeans.

Maybe I should clarify. I love skinny jeans on 8 month old Keira. She is one stylish little girl. And her brother Noah did a great job looking after her, and  loved exploring all of the different trails. Share on Facebook

I know I’m short, but…

Lots of laughs are always had with the Gilda Family. Through preschool I’ve been able to watch Lucie & Delanie grow but at 6, Lucie can almost look me in the eyes. And as I found out during our shoot, she can also school me in a little Spanish and Chinese. Pretty impressive. Share on...

Two peas in a pod.

In early November I met little Ryan and Kenji at their grandma’s house. These two cousins are just over a year old, and are always on the move. But who can blame them, their grandma has set up a play area full of activities and toys just for them. Needless to say, these boys are...

Little Sabine.

I am so happy to have had the opportunity to photograph Sabine and her parents. Sabine is full of smiles and was especially cute in her outfit that her grandma made for her. And who doesn’t love the lovable baby accessory…tights! Share on Facebook

She’s back.

It’s been two months since you’ve seen Harper. I last visited her when she was just five days old and so much has happened since then. Harper is now smiling, she discovered that she has hands(!), and she can now sit on her own. Okay, maybe not. Her mom helped her out a bit in...

Pre-func.

Ella was getting ready to head out to a birthday party and I somehow convinced her to take a few pictures before she left. I appreciate each and every opportunity because I know it’s just a matter of time where she’ll be running out the door with her friends –  car keys in hand. Share...

Fall fun (and great hair).

We lucked out with a beautiful fall morning and I was lucky enough to be able to enjoy the Fall colors with Ruby & Adam.  Cute and curious, Ruby is a great big sister to her easy going brother. And don’t you think Ruby has great hair? Wish mine would do that. Share on Facebook

Sophia & Hannah.

Let me just start off with this. Don’t Sophia & Hannah both have the most amazing blue eyes? They’re striking. Sophia was my pal and did a great job that day.  Hannah did too, but she was preoccupied with mastering her walking skills. Who wouldn’t?  It was a great morning and I had a good...

Gulp.

If you’ve known me for a while, you know that I’m a wimp when it comes to blood. I stopped watching the show E.R. because it was too much for me, and I almost fainted when I cut myself on our cheese grater. I know, pretty lame. But wait…I’m happy to report that I am...

Shhh. It’s a secret.

I knew this would be a good session as soon as Pete and Thomas greeted me at the door. At 6 and 8, they were so welcoming, polite, and had great personalities. I was impressed. The boys (and their mom, Joelle) are going to surprise their dad this holiday with a few pictures of them,...

Cousin Hayley.

Mathew and Anna are lucky to have an older cousin like Hayley. Not only is she fun to play with, but she also helps out by looking after them. A nice combination to have when you’re out in the “woods,” exploring secret trails. As you can see, Hayley (and a few sticks) came in handy...

Why do you like photography?

This is the question I was recently asked by my son, Ethan. I told him that I love taking pictures of him. Especially when I can capture rare moments like this. Share on Facebook
